CHS Alliance - Making aid work better for people The CHS Alliance is a global alliance of humanitarian and development organisations committed to making aid work better for people. We believe organisations deliver higher quality, more effective aid when they are accountable to the people they serve. Together, we are a movement to strengthen accountability and to put people affected by crisis at the heart of what we do by implementing the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS).

Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative (HQAI) HQAI is an independent auditor for the humanitarian and development sector. Professional, not-for-profit and non-governmental. Through a system of independent quality assurance (this means “audit by an external party”) HQAI assesses the performance of organizations. Our audits determine the degree to which the implementation of the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS) - and therefore good practice and accountability to affected communities - has been successful. Our audits also identify areas where organizations can improve.

Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) The Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) aims to support organizations in the aid sector to strengthen their safeguarding policy and practice against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH). The Hub’s core offer is this online open-access platform bringing together quality assured guidance, tools, support and research on safeguarding, serving any organization working in the international aid sector. However, smaller, local organizations in developing countries are the focus of the Hub’s offer as they tend to have less access to safeguarding resources than international organizations.
